Today I joined with partners from local, state and federal government to announce steps to bring an innovative electric car manufacturer to Central New York. This is an exciting announcement, but there is still a lot of work to be done before we can celebrate. I have worked with executives at Reva and Bannon for months to try to make this project a reality, and I am committed to seeing it through. One of the next, and most important steps, is securing a federal aid package, and I will continue to pursue that through every possible channel. Bringing an electric car manufacturer back to Syracuse would be an enormous step for our economy and would secure our place as a national leader in clean energy business and technology.
